Queens of the Stone Age... to the Iron Age

For our art lessons the children have drawn some Stone Age cave paintings and this week they have designed and created their own shields.

We spoke about the different types of materials used to create shields many years ago and investigated some well known shields too - especially the Whitham Shield.
