New Year R Classes

This week Year R have been getting used to their new routine in school, coming in every day and staying for lunch. We have been exploring the areas we have both inside and outside, and learning how we play in these areas.
We have met our class pets: our five Giant African Land Snails (and their 50+ babies!) and our stick insect. We have been learning how we look after our pets and using new language to describe what they look like and feel like. We discovered that our stick insect eggs have hatched, and we have at least five baby stick insects, this was so exciting for the children to discover, and we look forward to seeing them grow throughout the year.
