We are delighted to introduce The Beaver’s Den, our brand-new wraparound care provision! Designed to offer a safe, warm, and engaging environment for your children at the end of the school day, our goal is to provide high-quality, affordable childcare that gives parents flexibility while giving pupils a wonderful space to unwind and socialise across year groups.

At The Beaver’s Den, we aim to:

Provide a safe, welcoming, and calm atmosphere where children can relax after a busy school day.
Offer a fun, supportive space to socialise with peers from different classes.
Ensure every child receives a nutritious light meal and refreshments.
Encourage teamwork, creativity, and positive behaviour aligned with our school values.

🗓 Key Information & Pricing

Session Times: 3:15 PM until 5:30 PM (Daily)
Cost: £5.00 per session
Staffing: Fully qualified school staff with up to date DBS checks, safeguarding, and First Aid training.
Food & Drink: A healthy light meal (e.g., sandwiches, wraps, warm snacks, fruit, and water/milk) is included in every session. Dietary needs and allergies can be catered for with prior notification.

🎨 Activities & What We Do

We offer a wide variety of structured and free play activities tailored to the children’s interests, including:

Arts & Crafts: Free drawing, painting, seasonal crafts, and junk modelling.
Games & Sports: Board games, team games, and outdoor play (weather permitting).
Relaxation & Learning: Reading corners, puzzles, and listening to music.
Homework Hub: Supported space with resources available for children who wish to complete reading or homework before heading home.

📋 Registration & How to Book

Confirmation: Once submitted and processed, you will receive a confirmation email securing your child’s place and detailing next steps.
Payment: Regular bookings and payments are managed conveniently online via ParentPay.

💳 Help with Childcare Costs: > We accept Government Tax-Free Childcare accounts and payments claimed via Universal Credit. If you plan to use these schemes, please contact the school office after receiving your confirmation email so we can help set up your payment method.

🚨 Emergency & Last-Minute Bookings (Same-Day)

If you require an unexpected or last-minute place for your child on the day, you must call the school office directly that morning.

Please do not submit online forms or send emails for same-day requests, as we must verify staff-to-child ratios and cater for dietary requirements before confirming availability.

⏰ Late Pick-Up & Cancellations

Cancellations: Pre-booked sessions require advance notice for cancellation to avoid being charged.
Late Pick-Up: Children must be collected promptly by 5:30 PM. In the event of a late pick-up, a late fee may apply to cover additional staffing costs. If you know you may be delayed due to traffic, please notify the school office as soon as possible.
